POPTART! are proud to present this jam-packed launch night and LADY GAGA AFTERSHOW featuring ALPHABEAT (DJ set) and FRENCH HORN REBELLION (live).
Currently supporting Lady Gaga on her UK tour, following their heavenly blogged remix of her track Telephone, Alphabeat have firmly put themselves in place as alternative pop's royalty. Their current album The Spell takes a slightly different turn from earlier top 10 singles such as Fascination, showing a brand new style to the band and their DJ sets, taking influences from rave, electro and a love of retro 90's pop.
Described as a mash-up of Chromeo's nu-disco sound and Flight of the Conchords, FRENCH HORN REBELLION have been receiving attention through their lo-fi videos and futuristic remix work. Having worked as producers on MGMT 's Time to Pretend, they're now ready to take centre stage in their own right. With upcoming support dates for LITTLE BOOTS and HOT CHIP in the USA, they are already winning fans across the UK, having been awarded 5/5 by Time Out and Artrocker, being heralded as 'Electro single of the month' by Mixmag and already receiving support from JAYMO and ANDY GEORGE on Radio 1. Support for all this and after the show comes from the POPTART! DJs playing a fresh mix of the finest dirty pop, wonky electro & dubstep.
