Moscow State Circus at the New Theatre, Cardiff
The renowned Moscow State Circus brings their brand new and most spectacular show to town from Friday 3 – Sunday 5 February. The first in an exciting line-up of shows this Spring at the New Theatre, Babushkin Sekret takes audiences on an incredible journey with some of the greatest circus performers in the world.
A huge cast of Russia’s most talented artistes combine the contemporary and the classical in a totally unique production. Inspired by the legend of The 12 Chairs, Babushkin Sekret features a vast array of outstanding talent and spectacle including the beautiful queen of Russian Circus Yana Alievia on a revolving chandelier; The Whirlwind Rubsovsm Troupe acrobatically catapult themselves into the air at breakneck speed; The Juggling Sherbakovs on the reverse pyramid of St Petersburg; The Doktrov flying and spiralling above the stage; the unbelievable pole balancing of The Alikanov and he high flying bouncing bamboo bravados of The Perushkins. They are joined by the wonderfully funny and entertaining clowns Valik & Valerik, who are guaranteed to have everyone falling around with laughter!
