Big Bankers & Big Bonuses
Okay guys, I'm sure that you have seen in the news there are some big bank managers that earn upwards of £2.5million a year and then take a bonus of £900,000.
Now to me that's not fair, and it's not on!
In my personal opinion I feel that no one should ever be earning more that £1million a year, I feel that if they are earning more that this it should go to charities where 97% or more of the funds go to the charity and not the managers of that charity.
I also believe that bonuses should be restricted to no more that £5000 per person, and I also believe that everyone should get the same size bonus, no matter what job they do (this will make it equal, especially when bonuses are not covered in the Equal Pay Act).
If a banker has that much money in their coffers that they can give themselves £900,000 bonuses they are not doing enough to help the UK economy, especially with their current salaries are that high as well, because they don't spend that money here. They go overseas in their private jets to spend their money in America, Australia, Spain, and pretty much anywhere that isn't the UK.
All bank managers should be forced to put all excess money into charities and businesses that are Investing in young people and providing employment opportunities for said young people.
Living in Torfaen for young people is hard work, because there isn't really any jobs out there, and if a young person can get a job it's not one they want, it's something that they are bored with and eventually quit, leaving themselves without an income or employment.
So this is a message to all big bank managers.
Dear Bank Manager,
Young people are struggling to find employment or gain funds to start their own businesses. I urge you to put aside 50% of your salary and 50% of your bonuses and put it into youth activities and charities.
