Innovating Minds 2009
Are you a student bursting with new ideas? Have you been involved in a school project where you’d invented new things or come up with innovative ways to solve everyday problems?
You or your team could stand to win EUR5,000 by entering “Innovating Minds – Czech Awards for Young Europeans”, a contest organised Cesk· Hlava (translated as Czech Minds) with the support of the Czech Senate.
Cesk· Hlava is an organisation which promotes research and careers in science and technology.
Last year more than 60 teams and individuals from 12 European countries took part in the competition and students from Austria, Italy, Romania and The Czech Republic emerged as winners.
This year, there are four categories in the competition:
- Information and Communication Technologies
- Health and the Quality of Life
- Environment
- Products and Technology Innovation
Student under the age of 20 from all European countries are eligible to apply and the closing date is 15 October 2009.
Your submissions will be judged by an international jury comprising the President of Cesk· Hlava and nine other members, some of whom are Nobel Prize winners.
The best work in each category will be awarded EUR 5000. The award ceremony will be held on 10 December 2009 at the Knight’s Hall of the Czech Parliament Senate.
