Good day guys and girls, this is my attempt at writing a review of a film, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, so here goes.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is the next movie on from Journey To The Centre Of The Earth, a film released a few years ago based on the Jules Verne novel of the same name.

This one follows the same profile of being based around another novel by Jules Verne called The Mysterious Island published in 1875, and is the same island talked about in two other books.

Dwaynne 'The Rock' Johnson as Hank and Josh Hutchinson as Sean Anderson discover this after Sean breaks into a satellite facility to recieve a message in morse code that tells them the island is real, and has details of three books in total that tell you where the island is.

A few moments into the film we find out that even though Sean wants to go to the island alone he doesn't get the chance, because Hank is coming along as well, so we next see them in South America trying to charter a boat.

Rather than a boat they get a rickety old helicopter, whose owner is a bit of a money grabber, but his daughter Kailani (played by Vanessa Hudgens) is more safety conscious and tries to talk her father out of it.

She doesn't succeed and ends up charging Hank and Sean three times more than they originally intended to pay, but because Sean has the hots for Kailani, as she is very beautiful and very intelligent, Hank submits and allows it to all take place.

They then fly off to the co-ordinates where the island is supposed to be, but they come across a huge storm full of catagory five hurricanes. Sean reads a passage from the mysterious island book, which tells them they have to fly into the eye of the storm, which they do at great danger to themselves.

Once they crash landed on the beach they realised they had go to the island but they had no way of being rescued, so they travelled into the island in search of Sean's grandfather who was the one who sent the message previously mentioned.

As they were searching for him they were walking over giant eggs from a frilled lizard which wasn't best pleased when one of them fell through an egg. They then ran to get away from the lizard, and as they found themselves cornered Sean's grandfather turned up and saved them in the nick of time.

He then guided them back to where he had been living that past few months, a big tree house made of parts from a boat which crashed and sank to bring him to the island.

The following day Sean's grandfather guided them to the Lost City Of Atlantis, which was in the centre of the island. Sean was speechless to have been there, but then Hank realised something that they all needed to worry about: the fact that the island was sinking, and they only had a couple of days to get to safety. So they all began to search for Nemo's Nautilus (his submarine).

I'm not going to finish this one guys and girls as I don't want to ruin the rest of the film for you, but let's just say go and see it, it's cool.
