This week, CLIC is at the Urdd National Eisteddfod in Swansea. Each day, one of our writers will be sharing their experience of the festival. These are the Urdd Eisteddblogs, and this is Stormer007 blogging on day four...

Helo! Shwmai. Sut ydych chi heddiw? That's about the extent of my Welsh ability. I find it rather odd then that I chose to attend the Urdd Eisteddfod - a festival carried out entirely through the medium of Welsh.

Nonetheless, I woke up this morning at 6:30 and proceeded to ready myself for what has turned out be a delightful day. Arriving in Swansea (neu Abertawe), I was struck by the sheer size of this event. There were so many tents and people surrounding me, all conversing through the Welsh language. I feel somewhat drowned by the language.

When we arrived (we being myself, Yasmin, Arielle and Dayana), we huddled into a cosy room in which we return to at various points of the day. This being one them. I'm writing this at the Eisteddfod on a Mac…. I feel really unclean.

We dumped our stuff and attended a short press conference, in which we learned about the plans for the day, hear some words about some stuff from some people and saw a chair. It was a rather nice chair. Looks uncomfortable though. The delightful but somewhat uncomfortable looking chair was won by a young man named Llyr Gwyn Lewis (such a Welsh name) for his poem, on the subject of Flame.

Llyr said "I am extremely grateful to the Urdd for inspiring me to carry on writing every year". As it turns out, this is the second year in a row that Llyr has won this chair. I hope he enjoys it and puts it somewhere where it is needed. You know, somewhere where it will draw attention. A chair like that can really bring a room together.

After the necessities were out of the way, Yasmin, Dayana and I hit the festival trying to promote CLIC as much as we could by way of free pens, wristbands, badges, stickers and (somewhat less interesting) CLICzines. However, despite my worry that we would not get rid of (I mean distribute) the free gifts, we managed to give everything away with two or three hours.

With our main job of promoting CLIC out of the way, we decided to take some videos and photos for you lovely people. Dayana is working on that as I speak. They're looking really good.

But it wasn't all hard work: we also took out some time to have some fun and games (and tea). Arielle and I took part in a short Zumba lesson and Yasmin and I went to take some quizzes in the Open University tent. We also picked up some brochures.

For some reason, despite my inadequacy in the Welsh language, I bought a Welsh magazine from two young boys. Mainly because I felt sorry for them. They looked tired.

All in all, it's been a fantastic day here at the Eisteddfod and I'm really looking forward to coming back soon! Keep your eyes out guys for more interesting EisteddBlogs. Such an inventive word.

Some excellent dancing skills going on there as per usual Sam, glad you managed to drag Arielle along with you. Get those hips moving guys! Great work. The video looks great and kudos to Yasmin for presenting bits in Welsh, she did a great job. :O)

Just thought I'd mention, there are three links where it's the same link.

If you put your mouse over the Day 1 Blog 2 link, the link will be for Day 2 Blog 2. Just thought I'd flag that up. Not sure if it's the case on the other blogs, mind.

But yeah, good work Stormer. Da iawn, boyo. =].
