When Animals Attack
An EP due to be released in Europe in May will include a track by North Wales band We//Are//Animal.
The band was only established in December 2009 and has already released their debut LP 'Idolise', which is available on iTunes. Their track '1268' will be included on the 'Dead Young Club II' EP released on 17th May and will also be released as a single on 7th June.
The indie rock band are made up of Owain Ginsberg (previously of The Heights), the Hamer brothers, Sion Edwards and Liam Simpson.
Their music is a very DIY affair. They record everything on the day that it is written. Shunning normality they reflect their surroundings by recording all their material on a BOSS digital 7 track from wherever the day takes them – including disused quarries, fields and woods. The video for '1268' was shot in a quarry near Waunfawr.
Dead Young Records, a Leeds label, are releasing the 4-track limited edition 10” vinyl compilation EP 'Dead Young Club II' on 17th May. It will be available in record shops across the UK and as a digital download.
Along with We//Are//Animal bands featuring on the EP are Gringo Star from the US, The Cubical from Liverpool and Paul Thomas Saunders from Leeds.
A four-date tour will take place to promote the EP. The four bands along with special guests will play at Rascals, Bangor, on 12th May. Doors open 7.30pm. Tickets will be £5 in advance or £6 on the door. They can be bought from Cob Records and Rascals. They will also appear at The Faversham in Leeds, The Foundry in Brighton and a venue in Liverpool.
