Young people have their say in Caerphilly
The Caerphilly Youth Forum is holding their annual conference this week at the Maes Manor Hotel in Blackwood on 22nd October 2009 from 9.30am to 3pm.
Keith Towler, the Childrens Commissioner For Wales will open the event with a welcome speech and then young people acting as representatives from youth projects, schools and youth clubs will have the chance to raise issues that are affecting young people living in Caerphilly County Borough.
It will then be the Forum's job to try act on their views and tackle these issues over the next 12 months and create positive change in the area.
As well as the serious business of discussing these matters and working out how they can be addressed, there will also be plenty of fun, music with with VOICE FM, a magician and a buffet!
Any young people aged between 11 and 25 years old interested in joining the Youth Forum need to register with the Forum team, you can do this either through your school/project or Youth club or by contacting the Forum team on 01443 863292.
