Youth2Youth (Y2Y) is a unique helpline service. The reason it is unique is that the helpline is run by young people for young people.

Many young people find it difficult to talk to adults; some do not trust them and often young people feel older people just do not understand. Considering the difficulties some young people face when talking to adults there are very few opportunities to contact alternative services. Here at Y2Y we provide that alternative. Our helpline staff are all young people themselves who have been specially trained to help.

The helpline is for any young person under the age of 19 years who feel they need emotional support. Young people who are worried, confused or just need to talk can contact our trained volunteers by telephone, email or on-line chat. Whichever way they choose to contact Y2Y they can be assured that their call will be treated confidentially and a young person will be there to give them the support and help they need.

Mae Youth2Youth (Y2Y) yn wasanaeth llinell cymorth unigryw. Y rheswm ei fod yn unigryw ydy fod y llinell gymorth yn cael ei redeg gan bobl ifanc ar gyfer pobl ifanc.

Mae llawer o bobl ifanc yn ei chael yn anodd siarad gydag oedolion; mae yna rhai sydd ddim efo ffydd ynddyn nhw ac yn aml mae pobl ifanc yn teimlo nad yw pobl hŷn yn deall. O gysidro'r anawsterau mae rhai pobl ifanc yn wynebu wrth siarad gydag oedolion, ychydig iawn o gyfleoedd sydd yno i gysylltu gyda gwasanaethau eraill. Yma yn Y2Y rydym yn darparu'r dewis arall yna. Mae staff y llinell gymorth i gyd yn bobl ifanc eu hunain sydd wedi cael hyfforddiant arbennig i helpu.

Mae'r llinell gymorth ar gyfer unrhyw berson ifanc dan 19 oed sydd yn teimlo bod nhw angen cefnogaeth emosiynol. Gall pobl ifanc sydd yn poeni, wedi drysu neu angen siarad cysylltu â'n gwirfoddolwyr hyfforddedig ar y ffôn, e-bost neu siarad ar-lein. Pa bynnag ffordd byddant yn dewis cysylltu Y2Y gallent sicrhau bod y galwad yn cael ei drin yn gyfrinachol a bydd person ifanc yno i roi'r gefnogaeth a'r help maent angen.
