Kick Butts Day (KBD) 2012 is the 4th of April and we are now accepting project submissions and registration. KBD started in the USA in 1995. It is organised by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids as an annual celebration of youth activism and leadership. You can see what young people are doing in the USA by visiting www.kickbuttsday.org. This year you have the opportunity to get involved and showcase your projects with any young person(s). You can find out more information on our website where there is also a free bilingual handbook available to download: - www.ashwales.org.uk/kick-butts-day/. Registering your event is important to show the public and the tobacco control community why empowering young people is essential and it sends a strong message about the commitment of young people to tackling tobacco use. Your project doesn’t have to take place on the 4th of April it can happen on the lead up to Kick Butts Day or even after. It’s all about showcasing your work and inspiring others to do the same. If you have any questions about registering or about Kick Butts Day please do not hesitate to contact ASH Wales.
