Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester- it seems that today, where there’s a major city, there’s a major comedy festival. So where exactly does Cardiff fit in? Can this cultural haven be transformed into a capital of comedy? The organisers of 2010’s Cardiff Comedy Festival certainly think so!
From 16th-26th July, Welsh comedy is coming home and bringing it’s prodigal son Rhod Gilbert with it- on a mission to put Cardiff on the map of all things funny and helping the Cardiff Comedy Festival attain a place in the canon of Britain’s great humour fests.
But can this Welsh city compete with the big boys? They’ll certainly give it a good go! From Lucy Porter to Russell Kane, Chris Corcoran to Pappy’s and of course Rhod Gilbert himself- we challenge you not to be tickled by the comedy on offer! The 10 days of wall-to-wall, well… funny stuff is ending this year with a Grand Gala Finale at St David’s Hall hosted by the hilarious Rhod Gilbert.
