There's a multi-instrumental musical juggernaut heading to Cardiff called DC Fontana. They're a mod/beat/soul orchestra and they mean business, people. For a start there's bloody loads of them, but that's orchestras for you. Well dressed and road hardened they've headlined every major scooter rally in Britain. Recently they've been promoting the words of our Mod fathers throughout
Europe, which is practically like missionary work. They triumphed at the prestigious Purple Weekend Festival in Spain. They headlined the Paris Rare Groove Day Festival in France, topped the bill at the Athenaeum Cave 60s event in Greece and headlined the Beat The Clock Mod Weekender in Köln, Germany. Not the actions of half hearted souls. There's a lot to celebrate about this band. The authentic Hammond organ, the thumping bass lines and snake-like guitar work. Not to mention a brass section so tight you could laminate the dance floor with it. Supporting duties fall to our very own psychedelic mod merchants The Method. We're slightly concerned the Buffalo floor may implode due to excessive boogie-ing.
