Moviemakers

Participants learn the art of film making
by working together in groups to make a short film using camera and editing
equipment.  After a short session
of camera and film technique, participants will be given a camera and sent out
to shoot a film.  They will then
edit and produce a final DVD which will be theirs to keep.  This workshop is run by Louise Harris,
Director of Big Learning Company, who has over 10 years experience as a
professional educator in film and drama. 

 

Animation

Pupils will
work at creating a short animation using a variety of techniques including 2D
Animation like Bugs Bunny, Traditional Cut-Out Animation like South Park,
Puppetry or Pixillation.  The
workshop will be run by Nick Price and Lexy Jones of Turnipstarfish
Limited.  Nick has at least 6 years
experience working with youth organisations and young people, providing fun and
educational experiences in the area of film and animation
