An event for all ages and all tastes combines history and art, theatre and dance, childrens and adult performances. Join us for an amazing celebration of modern Gypsy, Roma and Traveller culture. Including the first public performance of Isaac Blake's 'Lavior' - dark and menacing, this powerful piece explores 300 years of oppression through contemporary dance and haunting melody - indescribable. See the traditional dancing of Kathleen Cassidy and the Hip-Hop dance moves of Daniel Flynn, while Daniel Morden will be inviting our younger (and not so young) participants to take part in his fairy storytelling. Dr Colin Clark from Glasgow University will be talking about the history of travelling peoples and this event will also feature performances and art by children from Newport schools.
