Created and developed by Phillip Mackenzie for The Sherman Cymru Youth Theatre in 2008, Kontakt is a groundbreaking project where teenagers and adults interact. It proved an instant success and was adopted by the Birmingham Rep Youth Theatre and the Arcola Youth Theatre in London. Kontakt @ The Pierhead is the next stage in the production’s evolution as the festival creates a unique and comfortable environment to allow young people and politicians to have meaningful interaction and conversation as part of a social experiment, which continues to explore how we communicate and learn from one another.
