RE-IMAGINE WREXHAM

This weekend Wrexham begins its live public art project ‘Re-Imagine Wrexham’ at the Oriel Wrexham library 9th on June – 18th of July.

The town of Wrexham (located in North Wales, on the boarder of England) has rapidly changed over the years. Updating the town with the new addition of Eagles Meadow in 2008. However, Wrexham have kept the traditional land marks which define it.

‘It’s not a market town but then again it’s not officially a city either.’ Describes THIS project which is run by The Foundry and many more art and culture projects in Wrexham.

Hidden talents will be coming out this weekend to be a part of the project including Glyndwr University and Yale College students. They will be contributing their artistic skills by painting the skyline of Wrexham which will be painted on the wall of the Oriel by leading artist Michael Jones.

Everyone should come along to see this exciting live art project. It’s not only for local artists and students; the project wants to encourage the public to get involved too. I will be there to see how this will turn out and I may even take a paint brush with me and you should too.

I have had to load it as an event instead of an article, I have to wait from translation for articles which can take up to three weeks.

If it goes up as an event it will stay on the site for longer, if it goes up as an article other articles replace it when they come in.

Keep sending things in 'Star Girl' we are looking for a budding reporter if you are interested?
