- Ecstasy is a white powder but is usually tablets and can be different colours with something stamped on them.
- It has the effect of giving an energy buzz and makes emotions more intense
- It is also known as E, pills and hug drug
- Included in the risks:
- Chance of over heating and dehydration
- Anyone with a heart condition, blood pressure, epilepsy or asthma can have a very dangerous reaction to the drug
- There have been 200 deaths linked to ecstasy since 1996
- Ecstasy is a class A drug so it is illegal to have, give away or sell.
- Possession of ecstasy can mean up to seven years in prison and supplying can mean a life sentence and an unlimited fine.
