Information » Law & Rights » Participation
Participation very simply means taking part, but when it is referred to with regards to you as young people it quite often means:
- involving you in projects
- working with you to get your ideas and opinions
- encouraging you to become involved in decision-making to influence the services and activities that are provided for you
A set of National Standards have been developed in Wales for organisations that work with young people or whose work affects young people and detail how becoming involved should:
- be your choice
- provide you with clear information
- mean you are treated fairly, equally and with respect
- be meaningful for you - you should get something out of it
- provide you with feedback

Funky Dragon - Participation
Here at Funky Dragon, participation is the aim of all the work we do. We are here to develop and promote the effective participation of children and young people in decision-making in Wales.
