Yn Gymraeg // Welsh version

Hello! Do you like books? Do you like working with people? Do you use a computer? Are you looking for a job and would like to gain new skills? If your answer is yes to all these questions, then we may have the perfect opportunity for you!

The Conserving Local Communities Heritage (CLOCH) project is looking to hire five trainees to be based in Bargoed Library, Chepstow Library, Cwmbran Library, Gwent Archives and Y Llynfi Library (Maesteg) from September 2012 to August 2013.

Each trainee will receive a bursary of £12,500 (tax free) and an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in four key areas (digitisation, research and local history, collection and conservation management and community engagement).

As 70% of public library staff are female, CLOCH would like to encourage applications from young men under the age of 30 who are unemployed or have not worked in paid employment in this sector.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 3rd July 2012, click here (English) or here (Welsh) and scroll down for details and how to apply.
