Yn Gymraeg

Oh the weather. We are obsessed with it aren’t we? Is that a truism or some guff that makes us feel eccentrically whacky as Britons? I’m sure people in other countries look at the sky and have a bit of a moan.

But if we really care about the weather and the climate as a whole, why do we continue to waste so much energy? When we use energy, we create a carbon footprint. Unless you are a cow, then your methane-crammed bottom burps create a hoofprint, but then again if you’re a cow and not a young person you shouldn’t really be reading theSprout now should you? Don’t calves have their own site?

Anyways the Welsh Assembly, through their Climate Change division have decided to make a stand. And you can help. Help save Wales. Help save the world?

Don’t know where to start? Want more info? Fret not! For they’re running an event called Countdown To Copenhagen to help young people like your good self to come together, learn more about climate change and make their opinions heard about what should be done in Wales and across the world to tackle this real and serious problem. If you’re wondering what the blazes Copenhagen has to do with it, it is where the United Nations Climate Change Conference  is happening in December and has nothing to do with bacon or Carlsberg as I first thought.

Countdown To Copenhagen takes place on Wednesday 1st July at The Liberty Stadium, Swansea. To register for the event click here.
