Yn Gymraeg

Love music?  Love volunteering? So does Orange RockCorps.  This is why we’ve combined the two to create a real-life volunteering musical extravaganza.  Kind of like a Welsh version of Glee.

Nah, only kidding

We’re actually giving away a ticket to a gig of your choice to anyone who has done any volunteer work in the last six months.  It can be any sort of volunteering, for charity or for a community-based project.  You have to have done a minimum of four hours and this has to be verified by the person you volunteered under.  If you've done all this then all you have to do next is become part of the Orange RockCorps Collective.  Upload your volunteering story on the website and you’ll get sent a ticket to go to that gig you’ve been dreaming about.

Even More Rewards

Even better, if you get 10 of your friends to upload their volunteering stories then they’ll all get tickets AND you get a Blackberry as a prize for becoming an ambassador to the Collective.  So, not only do you have a huge group of you to go to that gig, you’ll have a Blackberry thrown into the mix.  What’s not to like?

Give, Get Given

If you haven’t done any volunteering recently then there’s no time like the present.  Check out volunteering opportunities in the Cardiff area.  Once you’ve done your volunteering then you qualify for that ticket by sharing your story on the Collective pages. Remember, we’re always uploading new volunteering opportunities so keep checking back for new projects.

Add us on twitter for up-to-date news on projects/ competitions/ life!

(Editor note: hmmmm, so this means that if you do four hours volunteering with theSprout or any other CLIC site, you'll be able to get a free gig ticket of your choice. This is wicked!)

Hmmm, sounds awesome!! :P But I must ask, I gave up my time to run a Drama Club for the KS3 children in my High School. Does this count?

Yes, this counts! Go sign up for the Collective now http://bit.ly/989MTb and share your story. You need to have given at least four hours of your time and you need to have someone at the school/ organisation that will confirm that you volunteered.

P.s, you must be over 16.

Yeah, i can get all that to be verified. So, how should I get my drama teachr to verify that I did more than four hours?

Fill in the form on the Collective part of the website and give your drama teacher's details. She will be contacted to verify that you volunteered and as soon as she confirms that you did you'll get an e-voucher through to your email. Probably best to check with your drama teacher first before you go handing out her details!
