If you are aged between 11 - 21 and think you have a great idea which could make a positive difference to your community, read on!

UnLtd Sport Relief Awards, funded by Comic Relief, can give you support and cash to use sport, arts or recreational activities to resolve differences in your community and bring people together through a project or one off event.

The programme gives grants of between £250 and £10,000 to young people to set up schemes to bring their communities together through sport. Examples include football teams that cross social and cultural rifts, mini cricket tournaments and community Wii competitions.

This gives you an opportunity to meet new people, engage them in activities they wouldn’t normally take part in and connect with other young people from different backgrounds and walks of life.

It can also help you to develop practical and transferrable skills such as leadership, project planning, finance management, marketing and evaluation, which can have a positive impact on your lives and that of others.

Help is available with completing the applications. These are then accepted (either soft or hard copies) at the beginning of each month for consideration by a group of young people from all over the UK.

The next application deadline for is 5pm Friday 8th January. You can find out more information and download the application forms here.

If you have any questions you can contact Amanda Everson, UnLtd Development Manager for Wales, on 02920 484811 or at amandaeverson@unltd.org.uk
