Book Review: Marked

Marked is the first book of the House of Night series by P.C and Kristin Cast, in which 16-year-old Zoey Redbird is marked by a vampire and is expected to join the House of Night, a vampire finishing school.

She has to spend the next four years going through bizarre changes that will completely shake up her life, and that's if the whole process doesn't kill her before then.

I'm already half way through the book and think its absolutely great, it's well written and adds a welcome twist on the vampire genre by introducing school issues and funny situations.

It is a must read for any Twilight fan as I'm sure you were as heartbroken as me when the series came to an end.

It's a completely different take on Bram Stoker’s original vampire story Dracula. I recommend the book to anyone interested in the vampire genre!

Other books in the series include:

  1. Betrayed ? Out Now
  2. Chosen ? Out Now
  3. Untamed ? Out Now
  4. Hunted ? Out Now
  5. Tempted ? Out October 2009

I've read all of them now, but one of my friends has stolen the first 3.
Wonder who that is? :P
If you want to take Untamed and Hunted with you then I'm coming back a day early and I can give them to you tomorrow if you like

Hi Sambow, sorry to hear of your uploading issues.

I thought the error message had been altered to something a little bit more helpful.

The best way to contact us with errors on the site is to use the "Support Ticket" system.

You know when you log-in to the site at the top of the homepage, you get a couple of icons like "Edit Your Info" and "Change Password". There should be an icon called "Support Ticket" too. This should take you to a page where you can outline the problem and the theory goes that your message will go straight to the tech-team.

I've had problems too, so you're not alone. I found it's best to copy+paste your article from Word and submit it as quickly as possible.

Hope this helps and sorry once again.

Fab review! I've been a massive fan of this series for a couple years now and I really hope the next one comes out soon! I'm a sucker for teen-vampire novels and this one is in my top 3 series, I could happily just read any one of the books in this series for a day and be totally happy!

Really tempted to read the other series that PC Cast has written, the Goddess Summoning series. Looks really cool!
