Yn Gymraeg

Foreign films can be absolute masterpieces, but there is often the slight problem of a language barrier when it comes to English-speaking audiences. While films can be remade in English, rather than simply adding subtitles, this can be a very lengthy process and only something worth doing to the very best films.

In 2007, the first book of Swedish writer Jan Guillou's popular Crusader Trilogy was turned into a successful medieval fantasy adventure blockbuster, entitled Arn - Tempelriddaren. Now, as it was in Swedish, I can't say I've seen it — but IMDb gives it 6.4 out of 10 and you can view the original trailer on the side of the page.

Three years down the line, the film is finally ready for UK release and we have three copies to give away before its official release date.

Arn: The Knight Templar is a medieval epic story of war, treachery, intrigue and love set in the time of The Crusades: a brutal religious war between Christians and Muslims. Described as a memorable Swedish epic, and certain to appeal to any fans of Assassin's Creed, we would love to know what you think of it.

Want the chance to get your hands on a free copy? (And, if you're feeling creative, write us a review once you've watched it?)

Just send an email to dan@cliconline.co.uk with the heading "Medieval Epic Win", and include your CLIC username and details of the best way to contact you

I'll be plucking the names out of a hat next week, and will arrange for the winners to receive their prize through their local editorial group (or, if yours hasn't been set up yet, I'll just post it to you)
