28th July 2012: Brazil 1 - 0 New Zealand
The atmosphere in this match was good, but wasn't as I expected; there wasn't as many people watching the match compared to the Great Britain matches, but just enough to send huge support to both teams with the sound of the horns and the roaring of the cheering crowd.
28th July 2012 Great Britain 3 - 0 Cameroon
This match had an electrifying atmosphere, people turned up in their thousands to see who would win the battle to the quarter-finals. During the match wherever you looked you could see Great Britain and Cameroon flags, brightly painted faces, multi-coloured horns and different football shirts to support the teams, but the best thing was that the crowd never failed to make as much noise as they could for both teams, no matter who they were supporting, and no matter what type of situation occurred.
3rd August 2012: Japan 2 - 0 Brazil
Over 28,580 people were at the match and made it an unforgettable evening for everyone. The magnificent roars erupted around the stadium, the sound of the horns blasting out when someone scored or came close to scoring. The stadium was covered in the Japan and Brazil colours, fans went crazy to show their support by wearing huge colourful hats, wearing team coloured scarves, waving flags and having their faces painted.
Overall the experience of being able to attend and enjoy the Olympic women's football was unbelievable and after watching it a lot of people now see that women can play just as good as the men and deserve the same support and appreciation. Hopefully this will inspire girls around the world to take get involved.
