The Basement’s 10th anniversary
Caerphilly Youth Service’s Basement Youth Information Network celebrated its 10th anniversary of service to young people in May.
The young people who attended the 10th anniversary celebrations said, “It was a brilliant party! We had the opportunity to talk to councillors and other youth workers. It is cool for people to come to The Basement. Everything went perfect. The speeches that the young people and the councillors gave were very interesting. Overall it was an awesome day.”
The Basement provides information, support and advocacy services to young people aged 11 – 25 in a person-centred approach and supports the needs of young people and signposts to other more specialist agencies when required.

Dathlodd Rhwydwaith Gwybodaeth Ieuenctid Basement Gwasanaeth Ieuenctid Caerffili ddeg mlynedd o wasanaeth i bobl ifanc ym mis Mai.
Dywedodd y bobl ifanc a fu yn y dathliadau dengmlwyddiant “Roedd yn barti gwych! Fe gawson ni’r cyfle i siarad gyda chynghorwyr a gweithwyr ieuenctid eraill. Mae’n cŵl mynd i’r Basement. Aeth popeth yn berffaith. Roedd yr areithiau a draddodwyd gan bobl ifanc a’r cynghorwyr yn ddiddorol dros ben. Yn gyffredinol, roedd yn ddiwrnod arbennig o dda.”
Mae’r Basement yn darparu gwasanaethau gwybodaeth, cefnogaeth ac eiriolaeth i bobl ifanc rhwng 11 a 25 oed mewn dull sy’n canolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn ac sy’n cefnogi anghenion pobl ifanc, gan eu cyfeirio nhw at asiantaethau mwy arbenigol pan fydd gofyn gwneud hynny.
