(This is my first article written on my beloved device that is the iPad 2!)

I am addicted to the old school game, Tetris. As if that wasn't bad enough it is becoming a problem and part of my everyday life.

"But how can it become part of your everyday life?" I hear you ask. Well, let me enlighten you.

Every time I close my eyes I can see Tetriminos falling in my head. Strange, I know. The worst thing is, the completed lines aren't disappearing! That is a Tetris player's worst nightmare.

When I pass buildings or walls, I always wonder which Tetris brick could fit between the spaces. When I am dreaming, I am playing Tetris. This is known as The Tetris Effect.

The Tetris Effect can affect any gamer who plays video games intensely. Games such as COD (Call Of Duty) can also be a nuisance. Some gamers reported that they could see tags above people's heads as they walked by.

Having taken a break from the game (which was really, really hard and having an iPad 2 that doesn't run Flash games really helps too), The Tetris Effect is slowly wearing off.

However, I am quite worried that during one of my GCSEs, when I call upon my mind to give me an answer, I'm afraid that all I will receive is a bad game of Tetris

So my advice to you is: don't play games obsessively and try not to get addicted.

I have personally never had this problem however I have noticed some of the same things happening with me in real life activities.. This is really interesting!

I'm a keen trials biker, I do it as often as possible and because its healthy, and outdoory I don't worry about doing too much of it, however... I seem to be seeing and hearing things everywhere that I can relate to it!

I'm mishearing sounds thinking they are trials bikes riding past, constantly looking at walls and rocks imagining someone riding them and many of the artwork I do is trials related.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that I reckon this happens with anything you're passionate about, computers or not! I would only start to be concerned when people get violent over stuff.. I can't stand people that have violent fits when the computer beats them!

I have the same experiences. Every time I see a pig, I want to paint it green and throw a chicken at it!

Got something to say?
