  • Leaving It All Behind Me

Yn Gymraeg

I've heard too much evil!
I've seen far too much!
I've spoken things of hell!
My soul is now cold to the touch!

I've heard of pain and fortune
Of pure fear, lies and deceit
Things no one should ever know
Things one does not care to meet

I've seen too much with my eyes
Images for once I won't be free
Things that should be forgotten
But are now trapped inside of me!

I've spoken of tales and lies
The truth to the listening ear
Things I should never have spoken
Things causing anger, rage and fear

I've heard too much evil!
I've seen too much to take!
I've spoken lies and truth!
Like a witch, burn me at the stake!

Hear no evil?
See no evil?
Speak no evil?
For all I have failed!

Okay, I love this article but I also want to say I RECOGNIZE THAT WITCH FROM ANYWHERE! It's the Queen from Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs after she took the potion to disguise herself to try and poison Snow White. Fact:- Snow White was the first ever animated feature length film Apologies, I'm a Disney nerd and I couldn't help myself. Ask anyone who knows me well enough!

Anyway, really good poem. I enjoyed reading it. I don't know why, but I imagined someone reading it on stage. Sorry if I'm talking gibberish, just ignore me.

@Ihavethecyrusvirusx Actually, it wasn't. It's considered the first animated feature length film since it's the first to use what's now known as "traditional animation" (then called cel-animation). But there have been earlier examples of feature length animation decades before Snow White in 1937, with the earliest one that still in existence is The Adventures of Prince Achmed (in 1926). The earliest was actually El Apóstol (1917), and was a drawn political editorial cartoon.

Sorry, off topic. Great poem, by the way. Keep up the good work!

@Ragnarok woah, calm down dude, I think ihavethecyrusvirus knew that but coz of the things like documentaries on the film, she stuck to the facts given. If miss CyrusVirus is as big of a Disney fan that I think she is, I'm sure she watched the Disney Documentary that was on a while back where it did state what she said. I think she meant "traditional animation" but didn't say it.

@Wizzer, you are a very fine writer and I highly enjoy reading your work! Sorry about these comments, but back to the more important thing, awesome article and I look forward to reading more XD

@Miss_Survivoroxoxo I didn't mean to sound evil or whatever, I just remember a convo from school about it. Was in geography, weird times. And I didn't know there was a doc on Disney. Maybe I could have put it less... me. Sorry for any harm done.

But yeah, sorry Wizzer for rambling on about things that aren't that important. At least we all agree that you're real talented at what you're doing :).

@Ragnarok only now seen this. Yeah, I knew about the whole other feature length film thing, but like since Disney is like traditional anyway, I just referred as that. You didn't sound evil at all, haha. No harm was done at all.

I think @Miss_Survivoroxoxo was just being a friend [who I hope to meet someday] and was like backing me up or something. Thanks for that by the way, Miss_Survivoroxoxo. Nice to know there are caring people haha.

RE:- Disney documentaries, there are a few. Usually within the parks, though. I watch them when I can't sleep at the hotels, cause they are sometimes on there.

Big big apology to @Wizzer. Yes, we all agree that you're really talented! I think you should deffo keep up the writing. Who knows- Maybe you'll be up for an award at this years CLICawards? x
